Day 26 June 23

Hello Everybody,

We left St. Joseph early this morning, crossing the Missouri River and driving through Kansas. The state seemed to get more monotonous the further we drove.

We are currently staying at a nice motel in Colby, Kansas. We needed to do the laundry so I washed the clothes, but the dryer would not take my quarters (it was broken). The staff took my wet clothes and dried them for me…very accommodating.

Richard and I went to the store to buy some food for dinner. We’re watching old reruns and resting. We hope to get to Denver (4 hours away) fairly early tomorrow.
