Dear Followers and Friends,
It is wonderful to be in California . The drive from Reno to Placerville was like a familiar old friend. We exited I80 at Auburn and then had a wild ride over California 49 along the American River canyon, past Cool, Cal. , the gold discovery site in Coloma and then on to Placerville. It was a bit overcast and we heard that it was raining in the Bay Area and we thought it might start at any time.
We got Elizabeth ’s place in time to see her for a couple of hours and off she went to take her nursing school admission test (the “TEAS” test).
When John and Elizabeth got home, it was pouring rain. A Thai restaurant had just opened in Placerville , so we went there for dinner and to celebrate Elizabeth ’s completion of the test. The food was great and quite a change from the restaurant food available on the road during our month travelling.
Looking forward to home again,
Linda and Richard
